Slides is a self-hosted app for shared photo albums with a live slideshow, made for events. Guests scan a QR code, type their name and upload photos straight from their phone. The photos then appear live on a TV or projector as a stack of polaroids.

How it’s built

Next.js 16 with React 19, SQLite through Drizzle, and sharp for image processing, so iPhone HEIC photos just work. next-intl handles English and German, and Vitest and Playwright cover the tests. It runs as a single instance on Dokploy with a persistent volume for the database and the photos.
