waskaufen
Paper order pads, replaced by phones and a live barista board.
This one is private, so here are some screenshots instead of a link.
waskaufen replaces paper order pads in a small café. Waiters take orders on their phone, and each order appears instantly on the barista’s tablet as a ticket. The barista moves it from Ordered to Preparing to Ready, the waiter serves it, and the cashier collects payment by cash or card.
A password-protected admin panel shows revenue and best sellers, and lets the manager edit the menu, tables and staff.
How it’s built
Everything runs on one small Node.js server with a SQLite database, and all screens stay in sync live over WebSocket.
